Karen Holmes has agreed to be the Mission and Church Vitality Committee (MCVC) liaison to the Southwest Conference of the United Church of Christ. This position helps local churches to become more connected to the larger church. Part of Karen’s responsibility will be to attend two MCVC meetings every year.
This year, however, will be a bit different, as MCVC representatives are also asked to attend a meeting at the Conference Office on March 7 for a full day SOAR program. Donna will be attending the meeting with Karen.
We will be looking at Appreciative Inquiry (AI), its history, principles, and get an understanding of this strengths revolution through Appreciative Inquiry.
Jackie Stavros will be facilitating this conversation. Jackie’s experiences and learning journey in the ongoing development of the SOAR (strengths, opportunities, aspirations, results) model as will be highlighted.
