Greetings from your new board chair. I wanted to let everyone know that I’m looking forward to my term as the board chair for FCC. We are in a transition period, still searching for a settled pastor. We have a number of projects we’re looking at around the church property, and there are a lot of things going on in the world around us that have an impact on our spiritual journey.
Debbie and I started attending this church when our son was about a year old. He’s now grown and we have two grandchildren. The church has changed in the years that I have been attending here. People have passed on, some have moved away, and a lot of new faces have come. Change happens over time and it usually brings about growth, not necessarily in numbers, although sometimes that happens as well.
New people often bring with them new insights and different ways of looking at things, helping to prevent us from having tunnel vision. As we continue through the year I pray that all of us will grow together in our spiritual journey and that the peace of Christ will guide us on our journey.
