Greetings to members and friends of First Christian Church. We revised our schedule for completion of the Congregational Profile to allow the Elders some more time to reach out to members and friends of the church. Individual member questionnaires were due in September and Carol Lyons is hard at work incorporating your thoughts, hopes and aspirations for our church into our final document.
Kudos to Ann McPhee for enrolling Jay Merrill as the head chef for our Tuesday at El Caldito. Thank you to Jay and all the other volunteers that gather to offer a warm meal to our neighbors.
During the last Board Meeting we moved the Social Justice Response Team under the Mission Task Force umbrella. The Mission Task Force has been moving quickly to organize and rationalize the mission activities of the church. Let me know if you would like to be a member of either group. We are looking for leaders on the Social Justice Response Team that are social media savvy. If that’s you, text me. 🙂
